Unconnected Vacant Land Availability Charge

CTW are introducing a new charge for eligible properties, in accordance with Section 552 of the Local Government Act 1993 (NSW). A water utility is permitted to apply a charge to land located within 225 metres of an existing water main, even if the land is not currently connected to the water network.

CTWs Unconnected Vacant Land Availability Charge applies to properties that meet all of the following criteria:

• Not currently connected to the CTW water network,
• Are within 225 metres of CTWs water reticulation network,
• Can be reasonably provided with a potable water service,
• Can be developed or built upon, and
• Are not exempt by legislation.
